Session I: Online Reviews: Counting Down What Matters Most
It’s not surprising that 95% of American consumers read online reviews before buying a product. Studies have shown that reviews have the power to impact buying decisions and form perceptions about brands worldwide; and the multifamily industry is no exception. Thousands of renters across the country were asked to rank in order of importance, 10 elements of an online review. Join this session to play a fast-paced game of synchronicity to determine how in tune you are with the results and learn why some online reviews are more valuable than others when it comes to securing new leases.

Session II: Decoding the Buying Language of Gen-Z Renters:
Let’s take a fun and insightful deep dive into the minds of this trendsetting generation. Discover why they're less tech-obsessed than you think, how they're disrupting the search process, and why they're more concerned about your company's values than your amenities. Currently on track to become the most diverse, most educated, and most pragmatic of any generation we’ve seen, these renters have high expectations with a collective buying power that will only get stronger as they get older. Gen Z is taking over the multifamily industry, and they're not playing by the old rules.

Lunch Option A:

Market Relevance: The Unicorn Everyone Is Chasing
“Chasing unicorns” is a phrase to describe the pursuit of something exceptional and extraordinary; and if attained, has the potential for significant rewards. Market relevance is our industry’s unicorn but we’re not alone; 88% of executives believe that customers and employees are changing faster than they can change their businesses. To stay top-of-mind, companies need to see their customers as they see themselves, imperfections and all, and align their marketing messages accordingly. But when the proverbial “P’s and C’s” of marketing are not working, what else is there to do? Take a seat and get ready to learn how 3 companies across the nation have managed to capture the market share of relevance against the competition and what your organization can do to elevate your communities above the fray.

Lunch Option B:

Renters and AI: To Bot or Not To Bot?
With the emergence of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google Bard capturing the
attention of companies across the globe, it's no surprise that multifamily operators are just as intrigued. So, how can these innovations be used appropriately to enhance the customer experience? Opponents to Artificial Intelligence say these tools are short cuts and will eventually cost real humans their jobs; while proponents say Artificial Intelligence is the key to efficiency, allowing employees to focus on more important tasks. While managing to overcome the challenges of virtual tours and centralized leasing, this session will answer one simple question: “To bot or not to bot?” Learn the various ways Artificial Intelligence can impact your business strategies along with real-world examples of how it has saved...and sabotaged...brand reputations across theglobe. Is AI right for your organization? Take our 5-question quiz to find out!
